Recipe
For this project, I will be making a common breakfast from the country of India. It is called poha which is flattened rice. It is a pretty simple, healthy recipe that is very easy to make.
To begin, you have to thoroughly rinse the poha so it is 100% clean. This should be the first step so that before you add it to your dish it is soggy but not soaking wet.
Next, you should gather all your ingredients which are: peanuts, peas, carrots, bell peppers, lemon, and cilantro
Afterward, you chop all the vegetables and mix it together in the dish you will be using to cook. (*don't forget to feed the dog...)
Then, you add oil. The amount of oil depends on the quantity of poha you are making.
You then add turmeric and cayenne pepper. Both of these are added to taste.
Allow for all the veggies to cook
Once all veggies are cooked, add in the poha on top.
Mix everything together and allow it to cook for a while. Once completely cooked, squeeze lemon on top and served.
(optional: garnish with cilantro)
